It’s a great, easy, make-it-yourself gift that you can give to a grandparent or coworker and get your kids involved. It’s really easy to do. All you need are tea towels, cookie cutters, acrylic paint, plates and of course a paintbrush.
Take your tea towel and lay it flat on the surface. I like to use a trash bag underneath just to make sure there is no paint on the counter. Then, once your tea towel is laid, you will take your acrylic paint and put it on your plate. Now you want to have enough of it where you can put your cookie cutter, and then you will take your brush to spread it out a bit, leaving some kind of paint in the middle. Once you have it prepared, you can take your cookie cutter and press it into the paint, then crush it on the tea towel. You can do any design on the tea towel. You can mix cookie cutters, mix colors. Whichever way you want to do it, go ahead and do it.
It’s a really fun activity, especially to do with the kids. The best part is that they make wonderful gifts. I happened to find napkin rings that dress it up a bit, to make it super cute for a Christmas present. Put it in a bag and you are good to go.
